Costco Customers Are Still Furious Costco began its transition from American Express to Visa as its exclusive credit card partner in June, but the process has been anything but smooth.
At the time, customers were so frustrated by delays and confusion that they threatened to cancel their memberships.
Two months later, some of those problems are still here, and customers say Citigroup (the card issuer) and Costco are not doing enough to resolve the issues.
Some customers were just outright confused from the get go, and others said they have not received their new cards. Furthermore, several customers complained that they could not get a customer service representative on the phone to help them.
Approximately 50 Costco cardholders reached out to Business Insider with their stories, most of which were extremely negative.
